Dodge Journey prices announced (UK)


Dodge has announced that prices for the new seven seat Journey will start from £16,995 when it reaches UK showrooms in September.

For £17k, you receive the less fuel-efficient, 173bhp 2.4 litre four-cylinder petrol model. The popular 138bhp 2.0 CRD engine starts at £17,995 in the Dodge Journey SE, making it £1000 cheaper than the entry-level Ford S-Max diesel with which it competes aganist.

The Journey SE is equipped with three-zone climate control, keyless entry, 12v auxiliary power outlet, 2nd Row 40/60 tilt & slide seating, 3rd row 50/50 fold/reclining seats, telescope steering wheel, tinted winscreen glass, AM/FM 6 DISC DVD MP3 RADIO with 6 speakers, cargo compartment cloth cover, electronic roll mitigation (ERM), electronic stability programme (ESP), hill start brake assist, next generation front air-bags with side and curtain airbags, rear view day/night mirror, security alarm, Sentry Key® theft deterrent system, speed control, traction control, trailer sway damping, tyre pressure monitoring - warning lamp, body colour door handles, front & rear aimable LED lamps and body colour power folding heated mirrors, just to name a few.

The cheapest automatic model comes in at £21,195 for the Journey 2.0 CRD SXT, which also gets cruise control, fog lights, 17-inch alloys, and electric driver’s seat.

The range-topping 2.0 CRD R/T automatic costs £22,995, and includes heated front seats, leather interior, chrome roof rails and 19-inch alloys.

At nearly £23k, the Journey rivals the Ford S-Max at prices. Infact, fork out an extra £50 and you can get the flagship Ford S-Max 2.0 TDCi Titanium.
